The event will take place on October 25 at 6:30 pm in the Eagles Room at POSK. \nCryptonym “Klasztor” – Dopaść Pileckiego (55′) – is a documentary film depicting the more widely unknown behind-the-scenes of the multifaceted Communist security intelligence operation code-named “Klasztor”\, which led to the arrest of Witold Pilecki and his closest associates.\n\nThe authors present a sophisticated game of security: officers and secret collaborators of the communist secret service. The purpose of Operation “Monastery” was not only to capture Pilecki’s group\, but also to set a trap\, to carry out a provocation that was intended to “prove” that the “volunteer to Auschwitz” wanted to liquidate top functionaries of the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security.  \nThe film tells the story of the final 1.5-year period of Witold Pilecki’s life and his volunteer mission to Poland – from his return from Ancona\, Italy (in consultation with Gen. Wladyslaw Anders) in December 1945\, until his arrest in Warsaw in May 1947. \nA complete novelty is the showing of authentic places connected with Pilecki’s story – from the German Auschwitz camp\, to communist Poland – the conspiratorial premises\, finally the Rakowiecka Street prison where they were martyred\, to an almost unknown edifice in the center of Warsaw\, where they were “tried.” The film features\, among others\, historians Prof. Wieslaw Jan Wysocki\, Dr. Adam Cyra\, Dr. Tomasz Labuszewski\, Rev. DESCRIPTION:“Aga left pierogi behind”\nAga has not lived in Poland for a long time\nGig teaser!\n\nAga Kukla’s 45min performance will take listeners on a music rollercoaster through Polish hits from the 70s\, French classics\, musicals\, and modern songs in an acoustic rendition.\n\n\nPiano: Caleb Lee \nAga Kukla is a performer with a background in Musical Theatre from the London College of Music. Notable roles include Eva Peron in “EVITA” and Jerome in a gender-bent version of “Merrily We Roll Along.” Recently\, she performed as the MC in The Rose Rooms’ “Late Night Circus: Craven and is represented by SiDonald agency. In addition to performing\, Aga is a dedicated vocal coach\, teaching children and adults at various institutions around London and her studio Vocal Rush. \nOutside of her professional work\, Aga enjoys playing classical guitar and translating Polish Musical Theatre into English. And she really loves pierogi. \nCaleb Lee is a creative producer\, lecturer and theatre critic originally from Singapore. He is currently Co-Artistic Director of Five Stones Theatre – an international collective creating dance and theatre for children and young people that are ‘a little different’. Caleb has extensive experience internationally working as a festival manager and producer; from Japan to Australia and everywhere in between. On the side\, Caleb plays piano for fun and has played at weddings\, concerts\, and the occasional gig. POETIC MONODRAMA BASED ON THE TEXTS OF ZBIGNIEW HERBERT  \nscript\, direction and performance: Wojciech Wysocki\nmusic: Piotr Kajetan Matczuk \nWojciech Wysocki – an outstanding theater\, film and television actor\, is also a lover\, expert and promoter of poetry. Based on the texts of Zbigniew Herbert\, he created an outstanding monodrama. “Zyciorys” tells the story of a man from birth to death\, and the additional sound of this special story is given by the accompaniment by Piotr Kajetan Matczuk. This performance is an artistic proposal of the highest league. It tells in the language of Zbigniew Herbert’s poetry about man from birth to death. Wysocki speaks Herbert brilliantly\, and is one of the best interpreters of modern poetry – not without reason\, honored with many awards\, including the Grand Splendor Award. ____________________________________ WOJCIECH WYSOCKI – is one of the more recognizable Polish actors. He appears in both films and TV series\, and occasionally lends his voice to dubbing. Over the decades of his career\, Wojciech Wysocki has appeared in many well-known film productions and Polish television series. He owes his fame primarily to the role of pianist Gregory in the melodrama “Con amore”\, directed by Jan Batory. Over the past 50 years of creative activity\, he has become known as a member of the famous Polish bands Anawa\, Laboratorium\, Air Condition\, String Connection and the leader of the formations founded since the 1980s: Ścierański Surzyn Trio\, Ścierański Trio\, Music Painters\, The Colors\, New Quartet\, Ścierański Quartet. It is impossible to list all the lineups and performers with whom he has collaborated\, recorded albums\, created soundtracks for films\, plays and other projects.
