DESCRIPTION:Jakub Cywiński Quartet feat. Monika Lidke!\nJakub Cywiński Quartet was founded in June 2022 in London on the initiative of double bass player and bass guitarist Jakub Cywiński. The idea of the band was to present Jakub’s original compositions. Their music oscillates on the border of mainstream jazz\, ethno\, and fusion.\nThe band consists of recognized musicians from the London scene and beyond\, each of them collaborates on many different projects\, composes\, and records solo albums.\nOn this occasion a Polish singer Monika Lidke will join the group to sing few originals as well as exciting arrangements of jazz songs!\nJakub Cywiński – double bass\, bass guitar\, a native of Poland\, studied music at the Royal College of Music in London (the Constant & Kit Lambert Junior Fellowship award). Jakub performs throughout Europe and Asia in collaboration with various artists such as Ola Onabule\, Andy Sheppard\, Przemysław Strączek Quartet\, Krzysztof Urbański\, Janette Mason\, Julian Nicholas\, Duncan Eagles\, Gianluca di Ienno\, Piotr Damasiewicz\, and John Paul Muir among others. Denys Baptiste and Marvin Muoneké!  \nRevisiting the famous album when John Coltrane teamed up with vocalist Johnny Hartman to explore their favourite romantic standards\, tenor sax boss Denys Baptiste is joined by the extraordinary vocalist Marvin Muoneké and a top-flight rhythm section of Gary Crosby (bass)\, Alex Webb (piano) and Alfonso Vitale (drums).  As well as the songs from the 1963 Impulse album\, the group explores other standards that Coltrane liked to play\, including All or Nothing at All\, Out of This World\, Say It Again and a vocal version of Moment’s Notice.  The original album was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2013\, 50 years after its release. \n  \nTickets

DESCRIPTION:The Polish Library POSK in London and the Polish Social and Cultural Association cordially invite you to the family picnic in Ravenscourt Park on the 22nd of June (Sunday)\, organised to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. The opening will take place at 12 noon. \nOn the 8th of May 1945\, the greatest conflict in human history\, World War II\, came to an end in Europe. Although this day did not bring freedom to Poland\, it did bring an end to one of the most dramatic events in history. That is why the Polish Library POSK in London is organising a joint meeting of Poles\, Englishmen and people of different nationalities to celebrate this historic moment together in the friendly atmosphere of a family picnic\, with music\, games and good food. \nThere are many attractions on the programme\, including performances on stage by Polish and British soloists\, folk and musical groups. The youngest children\, for whom the organisers have prepared many attractions\, will be able to take part in free art workshops. The event is supported by: Polish Embassy in London\, Hammersmith & Fulham Council\, TransefGo as the main sponsor. \nThe picnic will also feature presentations by several Polish and British business owners. \nThe picnic will last from 12 noon to 6 pm. \nAddress: 5 Parkside\, Hammersmith W6 0UA\, London \n  \nFeaturing artistic performances\, food stalls\, children’s art workshops\, a book fair and lots of activities for the whole family! \nEntry is free! \n
