Joanna will perform works from the album and introduce its concept and featured composers. \nFollowing the recital\, the artist will meet the audience and sign copies of her album (available for purchase after the concert). \n  \nAbout the artist \n“Joanna Kacperek’s pianism is of the first order. What struck me was not only the natural flow of her interpretations\, or the beauty of her sound\, but above all her ability to move me\, and the sheer joyfulness that transpired from every note she played.” – Antonio Pompa-Baldi \nA prizewinner of numerous international competitions\, Joanna Kacperek is a versatile pianist acclaimed for her expressive playing and wide-ranging repertoire as both a soloist and collaborative artist. She has performed across Europe\, Canada\, and Japan\, and has appeared as a soloist with orchestras such as the Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic in Warsaw and the Lviv Virtuosos Chamber Orchestra. \nHer debut album\, Variations (Rubicon Classics\, 2024)\, received international acclaim and was broadcast on Polish National Radio. In 2025\, Joanna performed for HRH King Charles during his visit to the Polish Social and Cultural Association in London. \nAlongside her solo career\, Joanna is also an award-winning chamber musician. Her duo with Clara Barbier Serrano has received major prizes at international competitions in Lyon\, Stuttgart\, and at Wigmore Hall\, and regularly performs at leading European festivals. \n  \nAbout the programme \nThe album In Plain Sight celebrates the music of seven brilliant women composers. Their works were never hidden: they were performed\, published\, and appreciated during their lifetimes alongside those of their male contemporaries\, and represent the highest artistic standard. Many of these composers moved within the same artistic circles as Mozart\, Haydn\, Liszt\, and Grieg. \nIn Plain Sight does not seek to argue or proclaim.
