DESCRIPTION:On the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Monte Cassino\, the POSK Polish Library in London cordially invites you to the exhibition “Passerby\, tell Poland…” to the Sala Orłów. Let’s learn about the history of this famous battle and explore the unknown photographs and documents displayed in the showcases. Most of the photographs are from the collection of the POSK Polish Library in London.\n“The most fierce battle of World War II ended on May 18\, 1944 after four months of bloody fighting. The mountain range\, now strewn with ruins and graves of soldiers of various nationalities\, was captured\,” an excerpt from the description under the plaque on display at the exhibition with a photo of the ruins of the monastery as seen from “Serpent’s Head.”\nThe exhibition was prepared as part of POSK’s 60th anniversary celebrations.\nThe exhibition is bilingual prepared also for British audiences.\nThe exhibition can be visited until the end of October.\nAdmission is free.

DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column icons_position=”left”][vc_column_text] \nAGA ZARYAN QUARTET with Alicja Smietana String Quartet: “Beauty is Dying”.\nOn the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising\, we invite you to a concert with the repertoire from the moving jazz album “Beauty is Dying” (“Umiera Piękno”) performed by the outstanding vocalist Aga Zaryan and her band\, with the participation of Alicja Smietana’s string quartet!\nThe album “Beauty Is Dying” was recorded in 2007 in cooperation with the Warsaw Uprising Museum. It contains poems by poets related to this important historical event. The music for them was composed by the extremely talented pianist Michal Tokaj.\n\n7pm opening of the bar\n8pm music\n\nTickets\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
