He also created painted maps for Arts & Crafts houses including Lindisfarne Castle\, magnificent murals for Cunard liners\, and eye-catching publicity posters for organisations such as the Empire Marketing Board. An enduring legacy is his alphabet for the Imperial War Graves Commission used on all British military headstones since the First World War. \nThis illustrated talk by Max Gill’s great-niece presents a colourful overview of this versatile artist’s personal life and artistic achievements. DESCRIPTION:Jonny and his quintet will be showcasing his latest EP “Influences\, consisting of 6 new original compositions\, as well as performing a few tunes from his albums ‘The Next Chapter’ & ‘Mellow Mind’. \nDrawing from his roots in classical and jazz music\, Jonny’s sound is also heavily influenced by electronic dance music genres such as Jungle\, Breakbeat & House\, and he blends these influences together in his writing\, creating a very interesting and unique sound. Expect a fusion of soulful jazz harmony\, luscious sound textures\, lyrical guitar melodies\, groovy basslines and intricate breakbeats. \nJonny Liebeck is a West London born jazz pianist/composer and graduate of the Royal Academy of Music & Trinity Laban who has performed at many well-known London jazz venues (Southbank Centre\, Pizza Express & 91 Living Room to name a few)\, & has performed alongside artists such as Mica Paris and Omar Puente.
