\n\u2018Hypnosis\u2019 is a play with a \u2018psychosomatic\u2019 theme, as the director described it: a patient seeks help from yet another doctor; all other methods fail, and the doctor decides to use hypnosis, which was in vogue at the time (the play was written in the 1940s). The complexity of the patient-doctor relationship leads to a happy ending \u2013 mutual affection between the characters. The premiere took place on 7 December 1962 in London, starring Tola Korian and Zygmunt Kawka, with the author himself directing.
\n\u2018Hypnosis\u2019 is one of Antoni Cwojdzi\u0144ski\u2019s most frequently staged plays. The author, who spent the last years of his life in London, travelled to Warsaw in 1964 so that the Teatr Wsp\u00f3\u0142czesny could stage \u2018Hypnosis\u2019 under his direction.
