On 12 January 2026, the first official visit of the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, to the United Kingdom took place.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting took place at the National Army Museum in London, where President Karol Nawrocki met with representatives of the Polish community in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Polish Social and Cultural Centre in London was represented by its chairman, Marcin Kalinowski, and secretary, W\u0142odzimierz Mier-J\u0119drzejowicz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the ceremony, the president presented state decorations to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the Polish community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Dobros\u0142awa Platt, director of the Polish Library at POSK in London, was awarded the Gold Cross of Merit (Z\u0142oty Krzy\u017c Zas\u0142ugi)<\/p>\n\n\n
