On Saturday, 19 September 2026, commemorative ceremonies marking the 50th anniversary of the unveiling of the Katyn Memorial took place at Gunnersbury Cemetery in London.
This is a place which, every year, brings together representatives of the most important Polish organisations and institutions in the United Kingdom, who, by symbolically laying flowers, commemorate the 22,000 Poles murdered by the NKVD.
Representing the Polish Social and Cultural Association (POSK) at the ceremonies were the Chair of POSK, Marcin Kalinowski; the Director of ThePolish Library POSK , Dr Dobrosława Platt; and Wiktor Moszczyński, Director of Image and Communications.
