A highly promising violinist with the philharmonic orchestra and her husband, an ambitious local radio journalist, are going through a marital crisis. Due to mounting problems and a constant lack of money, Dominika (Karolina Chapko) begins to take an interest in a wealthy businessman (Radosław Pazura), whilst Robert (Rafał Zawierucha) struggles to cope with the breakdown of his family.
When his boss assigns him the task of reporting on the unusual stories of pilgrims arriving at the nearby Shrine of St Joseph, who claim to have experienced a miracle, he discovers that his own story also has much in common with the silent guardian of the Holy Family. At the climax, when he must make a decision that will determine his family’s fate, will he act like… St Joseph?
