07.11| ANNA SROKA-HRYŃ WITH PAWEŁ PAŃTA & STANISŁAW PAŃTA
7 listopada @ 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm
This is a unique evening dedicated to the music of Billie Holiday, as interpreted by Anna Sroka-Hryń – an actress and vocalist who excels at performing the repertoire of one of the greatest legends in the history of jazz. Her stage sensitivity, extraordinary expressiveness, and ability to seamlessly blend acting with music imbue these timeless songs with a deeply personal and emotional dimension.
A key element of this project is the Polish translation of Billie Holiday’s songs by Wiesława Sujkowska, which allows familiar tracks to be heard in a fresh form that resonates closely with a Polish-speaking audience. While preserving the original emotional power and character of the music, these translations open a space for stories about love, loneliness, freedom, longing, and fragility – the very human experiences that have made Billie Holiday’s work truly timeless.
