’Five of A Kind’ is a London-based quintet project led by pianist and composer Laurie Rich and features a group of young, sonically adventurous, artistically distinct musicians such as rising trumpet star Klara Devlin.

The band met while studying together in the Jazz Department of the Royal Academy of Music and by exploring London’s vibrant and eclectic jazz scene. After playing a series of concerts with various lineups across England and Wales in the fall of 2025, the band returned with this show at Jazz Cafe POSK this October.

Most of the music performed will be written by Laurie, specifically with these musicians in mind, as well as influenced by the writing and improvising of both modern New York and European Jazz.
